Two Sides of the Story: On being a Dad & on being a Mother

Two Sides of the Story

On being a Dad & on being a Mother

On Motherhood
She is beautiful, she is life itself in it's most tender, auroral brilliance. All mothers have this beauty – all of them have this soundness, this truth, this sanctity, this grace. She is beautiful because of the love she strips from herself in order to cover the nakedness from the child. Mothers have no rank, no post. Men holds the world. Mothers hold the eternal element that holds the world. Motherhood is that which sustains the foundation of everything. (“An Ode to Motherhood “ by French Author, Translated by Christopher Bobin titled The Very Lonely.”)

On Fatherhood
Jim Plouffe says that fathers are important. Scientific research support that fathers
have a particular and important role in a child's upbringing which is different from a mother's role. He remembers reading that mothers carry their children facing in, protected, while dads tends to carry their kids facing out, ready to take on the world. Combined, a mother and father give their kids everything they need a secure place to venture from and the confidence to do so.

A word from me. I can't right the font size of this thing. It took me 18 litters of sweat to type the
part of fatherhood above. Bellay abandoned me.She was the one who did the motherhood piece. But I cant extricate her from her favorite cartoons. So I challenged myself to put the rest to print. It took Kassie to remind me to continue writing on my blog. This snippet is really about being sentimental about being a mother. Three weeks ago I suffered a bout of sinusitis and an unbearable migraine an old illness during my working days which they always point to stress. It was really a terrible episode in my aging years. Perhaps this was a wake up call for my children to be aware that they still have a mother needing a bit of “Hello Mom” every now and then. And so suddenly my children started calling and texting me which I'm sure boosted my well-being.

Ember gifted me a cute little book entitled “To A Wonderful Mother.” It made me cry. Menggay texted me as well a beautiful message. It touched my heart. What I can tell is that Comark and also Spanky are always there to to lighten my days even to just hear their voice and do some errands for me. I thank our FATHER in heaven for the blessing of long life and for giving me super beautiful sons and daughters and beautiful grandchildren.
